Call 858-467-1065. The United Farm Workers San Diego Support Committee will be hosting its second annual “Fast for Life” event. This nationwide fast is to commemorate Cesar Chavez’s legacy and the passing of his birthday as a state holiday. It is also an event that will recognize Dolores Huerta’s life with and contributions to the United Farm Workers struggle. The event begins at noon at the Aztec Center free speech area and ends tomorrow. The main rally which will feature music and guest speakers will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the 16th. This 24/36 hour fast is being sponsored by the U.F.W. San Diego Support Committee.
