Mohamed Abukar had to travel just 2,318.44 miles to find home – the exact distance between his old abode, the University of Florida’s O’Connell Center, and his new one, San Diego State’s Cox Arena. And it only took him three years to come back. In 2003, when the then-Rancho Bernardo High School senior was deciding what college to lend his services to, SDSU was but a minor blip on the radar.

Recycle, reduce, reuse isn’t just good for the bottle and can, but it is also beneficial for the closet. Clothes modeled on the runway of the reDEFINE fashion show featured a new style of environment-friendly clothing aimed to increase “green” awareness. The fashion show, organized and inspired by members of the environmental business society, also known as Club e3 on campus, was showcased at 7 p.

Lady luck lies with Las Vegas

Las Vegas. Where thousands go in search of luck daily. But, for San Diego State this year Lady Luck has eluded it in Las Vegas. The SDSU football team suffered a devastating loss there on Oct. 8. The women’s soccer team saw its Mountain West Conference Tournament run end in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Rebels last week.
