The buildup to Kings of Leon’s new album, “Come Around Sundown,” has been agony for longtime fans. Kings of Leon had just broken through to the mainstream with its smash record, “Only By The Night.” Propelled by the soaring anthems “Use Somebody” and “Sex on Fire,” Kings of Leon turned from a relatively unknown rock ‘n’ roll band from the South to an overnight sensation.

Instead of canvas, some artists use bricks and mortar. Instead of an easel, some artists stand on cement and use the urban landscape to guide them. Since the explosion of street and graffiti art in the 1970s, the best artists have been celebrated on the same level as those who work in the studio.

“A Grand Night for Singing” is a musical revue featuring more than 30 songs from legendary composer Richard Rodgers and brilliant lyricist Oscar Hammerstein II. The show includes numbers from well-known Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals, such as “The Sound of Music,” “The King and I” and “South Pacific.” The production is comprised of short vignettes that take place during a summer in the Hamptons.
