The Eastern Illinois University Panthers lead the San Diego State Aztecs by three points at the half of the 2013 season opener. Senior quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has thrown for three touchdown passes and 246 yards. The Aztecs have blocked two of the Panthers’ extra point tries.
Aztec junior quarterback Adam Dingwell is 12-27 for 160 yards and two interceptions. The Aztecs’ lone touchdown of the half came on a 48 yard double reverse run from senior wide receiver Colin Lockett in the first quarter. Senior place kicker Wes Feer kicked three field goals.
