Crime Beat

Car Burglary: 

Two vehicle burglaries were reported on Oct. 7. The first occurred between noon ending about 2 p.m. in Parking Structure 1 on College Avenue. The second occurred between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. in Parking Structure 4 on Aztec Circle Drive.

On Tuesday, Oct. 8 a vehicle was burglarized in Parking Lot A on Canyon Crest Drive. The incident occurred between 6 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The victim was positive she locked the doors. Various tools were taken, including a Milwaukee drill, flashlight case and a RotoZip corded saw.

Knife Found On Campus: 

On Oct. 8 at 11:47 a.m., a knife was found under the toilet in the women’s restroom at Student Services West, at the north end.  Upon arrival of the San Diego State Police Department, the knife was gone.

Masked Men: 

At 11:52 p.m. on Oct. 11, four men wearing masks, hoods, black clothing and backpacks were roaming near the Aztec Recreation Center. Police checked on the activity, everything appeared ok.

Parking Permit Theft:

On Oct. 8 and 12, two parking permits were stolen. On Oct. 8, the theft occurred between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in Parking Structure 4. The second incident occurred between 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 11 and 1 p.m. on Oct. 12 in Parking Lot M.
