Celebrity of the Week (Kendall Jenner)
Being a young Kardashian seems tough, trying to follow in the footsteps of the older sisters’ success. But Kendall is setting herself apart with her high-fashion career. She dropped her famous last name to show her seriousness in her pursuit as a model and is now the first Kardashian to model at New York Fashion Week.
Kendall started off Fashion Week making an appearance at Diane Von Furstenberg’s show and then continued with other big names, including Tommy Hilfiger and Donna Karen New York. But this isn’t the only show Kendall modeled for NYFW.
She finished the week at Marc Jacob’s and walked the runway makeup-free. Jacobs must like her work because Kendall modeled for him just eight months before. And we love that the designer embraced the model’s natural beauty.
Sightings (Brooke Schlyer)
NYFW is the “it” place for celebrities to be spotted and photographed. It’s all about attending shows by the biggest names in fashion and, of course, getting a seat as close to the runway as possible! A ton of female celebrities were spotted at the semi-annual event checking out next season’s hottest fashion including Paris Hilton, Jada Pinkett Smith, Heidi Klum, Olivia Munn, Rita Ora and more.
It wasn’t just the girls checking out NYFW. A few guys also made appearances, such as Jennifer Aniston’s fiancé Justin Theroux who attended the Boss show in a fitted grey suit. Meanwhile, rapper 2 Chainz checked out the Jeremy Scott show in an eye-grabbing ensemble including a black-and-white, oversized trench coat, black boots, shorts and T-shirt. Oh, and his chainz.
Romance (Bekah Haynes):
Fashion designer and reality TV star Lauren Conrad and her fiancé William Tell officially tied the knot Saturday, Sept. 13 at a beautiful California wedding. The couple knew it was love ever since they were introduced to each other on Valentine’s Day in 2012. They got engaged last October, and while they shared updates about the wedding-planning process, they never released the actual wedding date to the public. However, Conrad hinted about the wedding the day before as she blogged about her exciting weekend ahead and even said that she had “a feeling that it was going to be a good one.” And that’s exactly what it was!
