A Letter to You, Dear Readers

    Dear Readers,

I am here to remind you — with finals week and the spring semester thankfully over with, despite not doing so hot on that accounting final — that it is going to be OK. Even with inflated tuition, the enigma of SDSU sports without Brady Hoke and Kawhi Leonard, and the post-apocalyptic wasteland that is the Australian Outback…I mean, the job market, the future isn’t as bleak as you may think. Actually, I’m lying.

Luckily for you, dear readers, I have fun and exciting news that is sure to lift your spirits to a point just above Lakers fans everywhere. That’s right folks, the beloved J.A.M. is going on summer hiatus (Yay…I mean, boo). Fortunately, I’m happy to announce the J.A.M has been picked up for a second season and will be returning with all new content this fall (Yay!). So next fall when you’re going through withdrawals because your favorite television program called “The Chicago Code,” “Lie to Me,” “Outsourced,” “Medium,” “Smallville,” or “The Cape,” got cancelled, you can still turn to us. We’ll be here for you.

Now I say farewell, dear readers, for I must listen to the new Glasvegas album for no reason other than my own enjoyment. But I’m not going to leave you without a parting gift. Below is a list (I know, original) of rock stars that have accomplished the epic feat of graduating college. So when you question the point of a college degree, you can look back to this list and realize that if these people can do it, so can you. And then you can thank me.

    10 Rockstars who graduated college

Lou Reed, English degree from Syracuse University

Tom Morello, social studies degree from Harvard

Brian May, doctorate in astrophysics from Imperial College

Art Garfunkel, master’s degree in math from Columbia University

Tom Scholz, mechanical engineering degree from MIT
