LIVE In-game Aztecs vs. Lobos
10/31/09 6:51 PM
3:54 p.m. - What's up and welcome to Qualcomm Stadium and Happy Halloween. We're here getting set for the San Diego State football team's matchup with New Mexico; and we might be the only people doing that. You know how the stands look in a Florida Marlins game in mid-July when they're facing the Washington Nationals at 1 p.m. on a Wednesday? Well that's how Qualcomm Stadium looks right now. There are more people on the field than in the stands. We'll keep an eye on that for you as the game goes on. As for the game, last I checked SDSU was 17-point favorites. New Mexico is seriously bad -- last year's SDSU team could give this squad a run for their money. Nonetheless, we're about half an hour from kickoff. Keep clicking that refresh button. 4:31 p.m. - Kickoff is just a few...LIVE In-Game Aztecs vs. Cougars

2:25 p.m. - What's up and welcome to Qualcomm Stadium where today the San Diego State football team will take on nationally ranked BYU. I can't remember the last time SDSU played this early on a Saturday. It's really bright out, and it's warm. For some reason, the Aztecs chose to wear their all black uniforms. Watch out for cramps. We're about 40 minutes away from kick off, but keep pressing that refresh button. 2:42 p.m. - Not a whole lot has happened since I last posted. We saw running back Atiyyah Henderson down on the field, he's not wearing a sling any more, but he's still not suited up. We also saw fullback Matt Kawulok in a bulky sling; it looked painful. There's still 18 minutes 'till kick off, so you guys should check out last night's LIVE SDSU...LIVE In-Practice Aztecs Basketball

6:55 p.m. - What's up and welcome to the first San Diego State men's basketball practice of the season. Head coach Steve Fisher is talking right now, and he just said "This team has a chance to be collectively the best team in SDSU history." I'll be keeping you posted throughout this practice, so keep pressing that refresh button. 7:05 p.m. - All right, the team just got done introducing itself, and I have to say, if looks were everything, Malcolm Thomas and Kawhi Leonard would be in the NBA right now. Both are tall, long and look extremely athletic. 7:07 p.m. - Coach has the guards down at one end, and the big men down at the other. What's interesting about that is Leonard is down here working with the guards. Apparently they like him as a two rather than...LIVE In-Game Aztecs vs. Aggies

5:06 p.m. - What's up and welcome from Qualcomm Stadium where tonight the San Diego State football team will play host to New Mexico State. SDSU was 17-point favorites earlier this week, but I'd be stunned if the Aztecs cover. This Aggie squad didn't look half bad last week. This one should be interesting. And we're off. 5:09 p.m. - Well, this game didn't get off to a very good start. SDSU goes 3-and-out on its first possession and receiver Roberto Wallace dropped a would-be first down throw from Ryan Lindley. A couple interesting things from that opening drive: -Freshman Walter Kazee got the start at running back, despite Anthony Miller being listed as the starter. -Offensive lineman Nick Embernate is starting at right guard. I'll try to figure out why soon. ...9/22 Presser News and Notes

News and Notes San Diego State football head coach Brady Hoke spoke with the media today for nearly 11 minutes at his weekly press conference. Here were some of the highlights: ***Hoke said the team was going to "work the heck out of" blocking up front on offense and getting off blocks on defensive. Against Idaho this past weekend, SDSU rushed for only 55 yards on 23 carries and gave up 147 rushing yards on 41 carries. So it's a good thing Hoke's working on that. ***The head coach also gave some injury updates. He said sophomore quarterback Ryan Lindley's finger was "fine." He did, however, hint that it may have affected Lindley mentally in the second half against the Vandals. Hoke also said that defensive back Brandon Davis' knee injury is "better than we all...
