We did something amazing last night!

I am so amazingly excited about what America did last night. The enormity of what happened, not just as a historical landmark, but as a cultural shift, just keeps popping up in my head again and again. I was born and bred in America, but I have not always been proud of that fact. As I've said in some of my other articles, America has a great "mission statement" and great ideals, but we repeatedly fail to live up to those ideals...and we regularly refuse to recognize that failure on our part. America has done great things, in the present and the past, but since I began high school I've found myself more likely to be ashamed of my country than proud of it. But that's changed so radically in the last few months, and in the last few hours. I am so amazed at what the election of... 0 comment
