Students rally against hate

LGBT, Greeks, faculty say now is the time to stop hate at SDSU

A large crowd gathered quickly in front of the Free Speech Steps yesterday for the Rally Against Hate. Students stood on the steps and in the crowd holding signs which stated: "Queer rights are civil rights," "One Love," the definition of "homophobia" and the Rainbow Flag.

Lambda Pi Eta selling newspapers to benefit Children's Hospital

Sometimes it's difficult to believe that kids as young as 4 years old are battling cancer. Today, San Diego State students will be able to help one of these children at the Rady's Children's Hospital through Kids' NewsDay. Members of the Lambda Pi Eta School of Communication Honor Society will be selling newspapers on campus for $1 for the 18th Annual Kids' News Day.

Body scanner helps find perfect fit The apparel merchandising and management department at Cal State Poly Pomona is using new design technology: the Textile Technology Corporation NX-16 3D body scanner. The scanner is used for mass customization of apparel made for the consumer and is one of the most recent body-scanning devices used in the commercial world.
